Tasty Tuesday || Guacamole

I love those lazy Sundays that are go with flow, laundry can wait, kind of Sundays. I like to kick back with a cocktail and eats chips and salsa. Stetson is an avocado addict, so we always have avo's on hand. When they get too ripe I like to seize the opportunity to make my own guacamole! Guacamole is super easy to throw together whether you're planning to make it or searching your fridge.

Guacamole ||

3 - 4 Avocados
1 Lime
1 Tomato
1 Small Red Onion, chopped(optional)
Salt
Onion Powder
Fresh Cilantro

Start by splitting the avocados in half and pitting them. Put them in a bowl and smash them together.

Squeeze half a lime into the mixture.

Add Salt and Onion Powder. I just do a sprinkle over the bowl.

Next add the red onion. We are HUGE onion lovers over here. Red onion really adds a nice tang to your guacamole. We fight for the scoop that has red onion in it. You can add onion powder if the texture or taste totally wig you out!

Add your cilantro. I don't really chop the cilantro but just tear it off the stem. A small handful is usually more than enough.

Last ingredient you'll want to add is the tomato. It keeps the tomatoes firm with out being squished one to many times.

Give it one last mix.

Then serve it up! We love these black bean chips from Trader Joe's.

Friendly Tip: If you leave the pit from one of the avocados it will keep your guacamole from turning brown.

Enjoy!!
